Ulūka’s Provocation and Keśava’s Counter-Message (उलूकदूत्ये केशवप्रत्युत्तरम्)
यत् तदुक्तं महद् वाक््यं कर्मणा तद् विभाव्यताम् | अकर्मणा कत्थितेन सन्त: कुपुरुषं विदु:,“तुमने जो बड़ी-बड़ी बातें कही हैं, उन्हें कार्यरूपमें परिणत करके दिखाओ। जो क्रियाद्वारा कुछ न करके केवल मुँहसे बातें बनाता है, उसे सज्जन पुरुष कायर मानते हैं
yat tad uktaṁ mahad vākyaṁ karmaṇā tad vibhāvyatām | akarmaṇā katthitena santaḥ kupuruṣaṁ viduḥ |
Sañjaya said: “Those grand words you spoke should now be proved through action. For the good regard as a base man the one who, without deeds, merely boasts with empty talk.”
