वैशम्पायन उवाच
In the wake of catastrophe, leadership in a royal household turns toward collective witnessing and shared mourning; the verse underscores the ethical need to gather those most affected so that grief, counsel, and necessary rites can proceed in an ordered, communal way.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra issues an urgent command to summon Gāndhārī, Kuntī, and the other women of the Bharata family, indicating preparations for a significant meeting in the aftermath of the Kurukṣetra war, where the women will confront the losses and events that have occurred.
