Śānti Parva, Adhyāya 52 — Bhīṣma’s Humility Before Kṛṣṇa and the Granting of Boons

ततस्ते धर्मनिरता: सम्यक्‌ तैरभिपूजिता: । श्वः समेष्याम इत्युक्त्वा यथेष्टं त्वरिता ययु:,उनके द्वारा भलीभाँति पूजित हुए वे धर्मपरायण महर्षि, 'हमलोग फिर कल सबेरे यहाँ आयाँगे” ऐसा कहकर तुरंत ही अपने-अपने अभीष्ट स्थानको चले गये

tataste dharmaniratāḥ samyak tair abhipūjitāḥ | śvaḥ sameṣyāma ity uktvā yatheṣṭaṃ tvaritā yayuḥ ||

Then those sages, steadfast in dharma and duly honored by them, said, “We shall come again here tomorrow morning,” and, without delay, departed each to his chosen abode.
