धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)
etāvad uktvā vacanaṁ tatraivāntardadhe punaḥ |
Bhishma said: “O Yudhishthira, having spoken only this much, the imperishable Lord Narayana—of universal form—vanished again on that very spot.”

Divine instruction is given in measured form (“this much”), and its authority lies in being received and practiced; the Lord’s disappearance emphasizes that dharma is to be lived, not pursued as continuous spectacle.
Bhishma reports that after speaking, the imperishable Lord Narayana in universal form withdraws from sight at the same place, marking the end of that divine address within the discourse to Yudhishthira.
