त्रिजटाय त्रिशीर्षाय त्रिशूलवरपाणिने । त्र्यम्बकाय नत्रिनेत्राय त्रिपुरघ्नाय वै नम:,आप तीन जटा और तीन मस्तक धारण करनेवाले हैं। आपके हाथमें श्रेष्ठ त्रिशूल शोभा पाता है। आप त््यम्बक, त्रिनेत्रधारी तथा त्रिपुरासुरका विनाश करनेवाले हैं। आपको नमस्कार है

Transliteration

trijaṭāya triśīrṣāya triśūlavarapāṇine | tryambakāya trinet­rāya tripuraghnāya vai namaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma offers reverent salutation to Śiva—the Lord who bears three matted locks and three heads, whose hand is adorned with the excellent trident; Tryambaka, the Three-eyed, and the destroyer of Tripura. To him be homage.
