फिर तो दुन्दुभियाँ, जोर-जोरसे बजनेवाले शंख, ढोल और नगाड़े आदि सहस्रों बाजे बजाये जाने लगे ।। असुराणां तु सर्वेषां स्मृतिलोपो महानभूत् | मायानाशश्व बलवान् क्षणेन समपद्यत,समस्त असुरोंकी स्मरण-शक्तिका बड़ा भारी लोप हो गया। क्षणभरमें उनकी सारी मायाओंका पूर्णरूपसे विनाश हो गया
asurāṇāṃ tu sarveṣāṃ smṛtilopo mahān abhūt | māyānāśaś ca balavān kṣaṇena samapadyata ||
Bhishma said: Then, amid the blare of countless instruments—kettledrums, loudly sounded conches, drums, and great war-drums—the Asuras as a whole were struck by a severe loss of memory and presence of mind. In an instant, the power of their deceptive arts collapsed, and their māyā was completely destroyed.
