Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions

समाविशत् तदा रौद्रो वृत्र लोकपतिं तदा | तब जगदीश्वर भगवान्‌ शिवका तेज रौद्र ज्वर होकर लोकेश्वर वृत्रके शरीरमें समा गया

samāviśat tadā raudro vṛtra lokapatiṃ tadā |

Bhīṣma said: At that time the fierce, wrathful power entered Vṛtra, the lord among beings. Thus the world’s Lord—Bhagavān Śiva—having become a terrible, blazing fever of Rudra-like energy, merged into Vṛtra’s body, intensifying his might and the dread of the conflict.
