लोकसम्भावितैर्दु:खं यत् प्राप्तं कुरुसत्तम । प्राप्प जाति मनुष्येषु देवेरपि पितामह,कुरुश्रेष्ठ पितामह! देवताओंद्वारा मानवलोकमें जन्म पाकर तथा सब लोगोंद्वारा सम्मानित होकर भी हमें यहाँ महान् दुःख प्राप्त हुआ है
Translation
O Grandsire, best of the Kurus! Though the gods granted us birth among men and all people honor us, here we have met with great sorrow.
