Śaṅkha–Likhita Upākhyāna: Daṇḍa, Confession, and the Purification of Kingship (शङ्ख-लिखितोपाख्यानम्)

अरण्ये दुःखवसतिरनुभूता तपस्विभि: । दुःखस्यान्ते नरव्याप्र सुखान्यनुभवन्तु वै,“कुन्तीनन्दन! तुम नहुषपुत्र ययातिके समान इस पृथिवीका पालन करो। तुम्हारे इन तपस्वी भाइयोंने वनवासके समय बड़े दुःख उठाये हैं। नरव्याप्र! अब ये उस दुःखके बाद सुखका अनुभव करें

“In the forest the ascetics endured a dwelling of sorrow. O hero among men, at the end of suffering, let them indeed enjoy happiness.”
