तथा धर्मादपेतेन कर्मणा गह्ितेन ये । महतः प्राप्तुवन्त्यर्थास्तिषां तत्राभवत् स्पृहा,धर्मके विपरीत निन्दित कर्मद्वारा जिन्हें महान् धन प्राप्त हो गया है, उनकी उसी प्रकार धनोपार्जन करनेकी अभिलाषा बढ़ गयी है
Transliteration
tathā dharmādapetena karmaṇā garhitena ye | mahataḥ prāptuvanty arthās tiṣāṃ tatrābhavat spṛhā ||
Translation
Those who obtain great wealth through deeds that have fallen away from dharma—acts that are censured—develop an intensified craving for that very manner of gain. Having won much by unrighteous means, their desire to win more by the same condemned path only grows.
