लब्धव्यान्येव लभते गन्तव्यान्येव गच्छति । प्राप्तव्यान्येव चाप्रोति दुःखानि च सुखानि च,मनुष्यको प्रारब्धके विधानसे जो कुछ पाना है, उसीको वह पाता है। जहाँ जाना है, वहीं वह जाता है और जो भी सुख या दुःख उसके लिये प्राप्तव्य हैं, उन्हें वह प्राप्त करता है

labdhavyāny eva labhate gantavyāny eva gacchati | prāptavyāny eva cāprōti duḥkhāni ca sukhāni ca ||

Bhīṣma said: “A person gains only what is destined to be gained, goes only where he is destined to go, and experiences only those pleasures and pains that are appointed for him.”
