कथं शक्ष्यामहे ब्रह्मन् दानवैरभिमर्दनम् । स्वयम्भूस्तानुवाचेदं निसृष्टो5त्र विधिर्मया,“ब्रह्म! दानवलोग जो हमें इस प्रकार रौंद रहे हैं, इसे हम किस प्रकार सह सकेंगे?” तब स्वयम्भू ब्रह्माने उनसे इस प्रकार कहा--'देवताओ! इस विपत्तिको दूर करनेके लिये मैंने उपाय कर दिया है
Translation
They said: “O Brahmā, as the Dānavas trample us in this way, how are we to endure it?” Then Brahmā the Self-born replied to them: “O gods, to drive away this calamity, I have already set in place a remedy.”
