भृगु–भरद्वाजसंवादः: वर्णभेदस्य कर्माधारितव्याख्या

Bhrigu–Bharadvaja Dialogue: A Karma-Based Account of Varṇa

यदि ब्रह्मन्‌ शृणोष्येतच्छुद्धधासि च मे वचः । वेदोक्तस्यैव धर्मस्य फलं मुख्यमवाप्स्यसि,“ब्रह्म! यदि आप मेरी बात सुनेंगे और उसपर श्रद्धा करेंगे तो आपको वेदोक्त धर्मके पालनका ही मुख्य फल प्राप्त होगा

yadi brahman śṛṇoṣy etac chuddhadhāsi ca me vacaḥ | vedoktasyāiva dharmasya phalaṃ mukhyam avāpsyasi ||

Bhishma said: “O Brahmin, if you will listen to this and place your trust in my words, you will attain the principal reward that comes from practicing the very dharma enjoined by the Vedas.”
