Adhyāya 180: Jīva, Śarīra, and the Fire Analogy (भृगु–भरद्वाज संवादः)

स्रोतसा द्वियमाणासु प्रजासु विमना इव । धर्मकामार्थकार्येषु कूटस्थ इव लक्ष्यसे,सारी प्रजा काम-क्रोध आदिके प्रवाहमें पड़कर बही जा रही है; परंतु आप उधरसे उदासीन-जैसे जान पड़ते हैं तथा धर्म, अर्थ एवं काम-सम्बन्धी कार्योंके प्रति भी निमश्रेष्ट-से दिखायी देते हैं

Prahlāda said: “While people are swept along by the current of desire, anger, and the like, you seem untouched by it, as though indifferent. And in matters of dharma, artha, and kāma, you appear steadfast—like one who stands unmoving.”
