Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)

यत्‌ कृतं ते मया राजंस्त्वया च मम यत्‌ कृतम्‌ । न तद्‌ वर्षशतै: शक्‍यं व्यपोहितुमरिंदम,शत्रुदमन नरेश! आपने जो मेरा अपकार किया है तथा मैंने बदलेमें जो कुछ किया है, उसे सैकड़ों वर्षोंमें भी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता

yat kṛtaṃ te mayā rājan tvayā ca mama yat kṛtam | na tad varṣaśataiḥ śakyaṃ vyapohitum arindama ||

Brahmadatta said: “O King, what I have done to you, and what you have done to me—this mutual injury cannot be erased or forgotten even in hundreds of years, O subduer of foes.”
