उक्तवानर्थतत्त्वेन मया सम्मभिन्नदर्शन: । न तु मामन्यथा साधो त्वं ग्रहीतुमिहाहसि,श्रेष्ठ पुरुष! तुमने तो यथार्थरूपसे नीति-शास्त्रका सार ही बता दिया। मुझसे तुम्हारा विचार पूरा-पूरा मिलता है। मित्रवर! किंतु तुम मुझे गलत न समझो। मेरा भाव तुमसे विपरीत नहीं है

Transliteration

uktavān arthatattvena mayā sammabhinnadarśanaḥ | na tu mām anyathā sādho tvaṃ grahītum ihāhasi, śreṣṭha puruṣa |

Translation

Lomaśa said: “You have spoken in accordance with the true essence of the matter; my own view is in complete accord with yours. Yet, O good sir—O best of men—you should not take me here in any other sense. Do not misunderstand me; my intention is not opposed to yours.”
