Durgātitaraṇa—Conduct for Crossing Difficulties (दुर्गातितरणम्)

Bhishma teaches that those who do not burn with envy at another’s wealth, and who have withdrawn from coarse, worldly indulgences, are the best among people. Such truly good persons find release even from hard-to-cross calamities. Those who bow to all the gods and listen to the teachings of all dharmas—endowed with faith and inner peace—cross beyond difficult passages and pass over the whole field of suffering.
