Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
आमन्त्र्य दारुक॑ प्राह रथ: सज्जो विधीयताम् । धर्मराजकी यह बात सुनकर यदुकुलतिलक श्रीकृष्णने दारुकको बुलाकर कहा--'रथ तैयार करो”
āmantṛya dārukaṁ prāha rathaḥ sajjo vidhīyatām |
Vaiśampāyana said: Having summoned Dāruka, he spoke, “Let the chariot be made ready.” Hearing the resolve of Dharmarāja, Śrī Kṛṣṇa—the ornament of the Yadu line—called Dāruka and ordered that the chariot be prepared.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights decisive readiness in the service of dharma: when a righteous course is chosen, action should be prompt, orderly, and supported by disciplined cooperation (the charioteer preparing the chariot on command).
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa summons his charioteer Dāruka and instructs him to prepare the chariot, responding to Dharmarāja’s situation and indicating imminent movement or engagement.
