युधिष्ठिरस्तु निश्चेता गतसत्त्व इवाभवत् | नतं सूतं प्रत्युवाच वचन साध्वसाधु वा,राजन! उस समय युधिष्ठिर अचेत और निष्प्राण-से हो रहे थे, अतः उन्होंने प्रातिकामीको भला-बुरा कुछ भी उत्तर नहीं दिया
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Yudhiṣṭhiras tu niścetaḥ gatasattva ivābhavat | nataṃ sūtaṃ pratyuvāca vacanaṃ sādhv asādhu vā ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Yudhiṣṭhira, however, was utterly bewildered, as if his very vitality had departed. To the charioteer who stood with head bowed, he gave no reply at all—neither a gracious word nor a harsh one.
