Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration

स हि धर्म पुरस्कृत्य दीर्घदर्शी परं हितम्‌ । उभयो: पक्षयोरयुक्तिं वक्ष्यत्यर्थविनिश्वयम्‌,विदुर दूरदर्शी हैं, वे धर्मको सामने रखकर दोनों पक्षोंके लिये उचित और परम हितकी बात सोचकर उसके अनुकूल ही कार्यका निश्चय बतायेंगे

sa hi dharma-puraskṛtya dīrgha-darśī paraṁ hitam | ubhayoḥ pakṣayor ayuktiṁ vakṣyaty artha-viniścayam ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “For Vidura is one who places dharma in the forefront and sees far ahead. Keeping the highest welfare in view, he will declare the proper course for both sides and give a decisive judgment on what ought to be done.”
