Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration

ब्राह्मणा वाटधानाश्न गोमन्त: शतसड्घश: । त्रिखर्व बलिमादाय द्वारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिता:,ब्राह्यणलोग तथा हरी-भरी खेती उपजाकर जीवन-निर्वाह करनेवाले और बहुत-से गाय-बैल रखनेवाले वैश्य सैकड़ों दलोंमें इकट्ठे होकर तीन खर्व भेंट लेकर राजाके द्वारपर रोके हुए खड़े थे

Brahmins, and Vaiśyas who lived by thriving agriculture and owned many cattle, gathered in hundreds of companies; bearing a tribute (bali) of three kharvas, they stood held back at the king’s gate.
