Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta

एतस्मिन्नेव काले तु चक्रे हस्तगते सति । उवाच भगवानुच्चैर्वाक्यं वाक्यविशारद:,चिन्तन करते ही तत्काल चक्र हाथमें आ गया। तब बोलनेमें कुशल भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने उच्च स्वरसे यह वचन कहा--

Transliteration

etasminn eva kāle tu cakre hastagate sati | uvāca bhagavān uccair vākyaṁ vākyaviśāradaḥ ||

Translation

At that very moment, when the discus had come into his hand, the Blessed Lord—skilled in apt and discerning speech—spoke aloud.
