Decision on the Highest Honor at the Assembly

युधिछिर उवाच कस्मै भवान्‌ मन्यते<र्घ्यमेकस्मै कुरुनन्दन । उपनीयमान युक्त च तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह,युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--कुरुनन्दन पितामह! इन समागत नरेशोंमें किस एकको सबसे पहले अर्घ्य निवेदन करना आप उचित समझते हैं? यह मुझे बताइये

Transliteration

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: kasmai bhavān manyate ’rghyam ekasmai, Kurunandana? upanīyamānaṃ yuktaṃ ca tan me brūhi, Pitāmaha.

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “O Kurunandana, whom do you judge to be the one to whom the arghya should first be offered among these assembled kings? As this ceremonial honor is being prepared, tell me what is proper, O Pitāmaha.”
