Jarāsandha–Bhīma Niyuddha-prastāvaḥ

Commencement of the Regulated Duel

यत्र मांसादमृषभमाससाद बृहद्रथ: । तं॑ हत्वा मासतालाभिस्तिस्रो भेरीरकारयत्‌,उस स्थानपर राजा बृहद्रथने (वृषभरूपधारी) ऋषभ नामक एक मांसभक्षी राक्षससे युद्ध किया और उसे मारकर उसकी खालसे तीन बड़े-बड़े नगाड़े तैयार कराये, जिनपर चोट करनेसे महीनेभरतक आवाज होती रहती थी

There, King Bṛhadratha encountered the flesh-eating rākṣasa named Ṛṣabha, who bore the form of a bull. Having slain him, the king had three great kettledrums made from his hide—so that when struck, their sound would resound for a full month.
