रथभडज़ो न चेत्‌ तस्य धरनुर्वा न व्यशीर्यत

Transliteration

rathabhaḍazo na cet tasya dharanurvā na vyaśīryata

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: If that were not so, his bow would not have slipped from his grasp, nor would it have been shattered—implying that the extraordinary strain of battle and fate’s pressure were at work, not mere weakness or lack of resolve.
