सहस्रशो<श्चांक्ष पुन: स सादी- नष्ट सहस््राणि च पत्तिवीरान्‌

Transliteration

sahasraśo 'śvān kṣipunaḥ sa sādīn naṣṭa-sahasrāṇi ca pattivīrān

Translation

Sañjaya said: Again and again he struck down horses by the thousand, along with their riders, and he also destroyed thousands of foot-soldiers. The narration underscores the terrifying scale of slaughter in war—where prowess, when unrestrained by compassion, turns the battlefield into a scene of mass destruction.
