Educational Q&A

Even in a world driven by prowess and strategy, outcomes remain uncertain; the verse highlights humility before fate and the moral weight of war, where confidence gives way to doubt when true equals confront each other.

Sañjaya reports that as Karṇa and Arjuna come together for combat, spectators (figuratively ‘all beings’) become unsure who will prevail, underscoring the climactic nature of their encounter.
