Viśoka said: “Spears, maces, javelins, and lances still remain—do not fear the exhaustion of your weapons, O son of Pāṇḍu. Even now you have so many arms left that not even a cart yoked to six bulls could carry them. O wise one, make use of these thousands of missiles. You still possess many clubs and swords, and the wealth of your own arm-strength. Likewise, many spears, maces, javelins, and lances are still in reserve. Therefore do not stand in anxiety that your weapons will run out.”
विशोक उवाच
The verse emphasizes steadiness and courage in crisis: do not succumb to fear or scarcity-thinking. In a dharmic martial context, one should act with presence of mind, using available means and relying on trained strength rather than being paralyzed by anxiety about depletion.
On the battlefield in Karṇa-parvan, Viśoka addresses a Pāṇḍava (pāṇḍunandana), reassuring him that many weapons still remain. He urges him to deploy the remaining missiles and arms—spears, maces, javelins, lances, swords—and not to fear that his arsenal will be exhausted.
