तस्थौ सुविह्वल: संख्ये प्रहारजनितश्रम: । अथ द्रोणस्य समरे तत्कालसदृशं तदा
tasthau suvihvalaḥ saṅkhye prahārajanitaśramaḥ | atha droṇasya samare tatkālasadṛśaṃ tadā
Sañjaya said: In the thick of battle he stood utterly shaken, exhausted by the fatigue born of repeated blows. Then, in that fight, there occurred an event that seemed like the very arrival of Death at that moment—an ominous turning point in the struggle.
