Arjuna said: “O brother Bhīmasena! That mighty and impetuous hero Yudhiṣṭhira—though struck by Droṇa’s assaults and pierced by his razor-sharp arrows—stood firm on the battlefield, waiting for victory, until Droṇa himself was slain. Today that foremost of the Pāṇḍavas has been thrown into doubt and peril in the fight by Karṇa. Therefore go quickly to learn his condition; I will hold the enemies back here.”

Steadfastness in one’s duty and loyalty to one’s companions: Yudhiṣṭhira’s endurance under Droṇa’s fierce attack is held up as a model of resolve, and Arjuna’s response shows ethical leadership—prioritizing the safety of a vulnerable ally while taking responsibility to restrain the enemy.
Arjuna addresses Bhīma, recalling how Yudhiṣṭhira once stood firm despite being grievously wounded by Droṇa, and warns that Karṇa has now placed Yudhiṣṭhira in a dangerous, uncertain situation. Arjuna asks Bhīma to go quickly to ascertain Yudhiṣṭhira’s condition while Arjuna remains to check the enemy forces.
