Bhīmasena said: “The king Yudhiṣṭhira, Dharma’s son, has withdrawn from here. His whole body is scorched by Karṇa’s arrows. If only he might somehow still be alive.”
भीमसेन उवाच
Even amid battlefield fury, Bhīma’s words foreground a dharmic concern: the welfare of the rightful king and moral center of the Pāṇḍavas. Leadership is not merely strategic; it carries ethical weight, so the community’s duty includes protecting and sustaining the one who embodies dharma.
Bhīma reports that Yudhiṣṭhira has withdrawn from the immediate combat area after being grievously struck by Karṇa’s arrows. He expresses uncertainty and fear about Yudhiṣṭhira’s survival, emphasizing the severity of the wounds.
