Educational Q&A

Even amid the urgency of war, dharma requires a balance of resolve and compassion: attend to the wounded leader with reassurance, then return to fulfill the necessary martial duty of confronting the chief threat (Karṇa).

Sanjaya reports that Karṇa has badly injured Yudhiṣṭhira. Arjuna (Pārtha) is urged to go to Yudhiṣṭhira, console and steady him, and then resume the battle with the explicit aim of killing Karṇa.
