अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

अड्भाड्रावयवैश्क्िन्नैव्यायुधास्तेडपतन् भुवि । विष्वग्वाताभिसम्भग्ना बहुशाखा इव द्रुमा:,जैसे सब ओरसे उठी हुई आँधीके उखाड़े हुए अनेक शाखाओंवाले वृक्ष धराशायी हो जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार अपने शरीरका एक-एक अवयव कट जानेसे वे शस्त्रहीन शत्रु भूतलपर गिर पड़ते थे
Translation
Sañjaya said: As many-branched trees, uprooted by a gale rising from every side, fall prostrate upon the earth, so did those weaponless foes—when each limb was cut away—collapse upon the ground.
