तथैव पाण्डवं राजन् विह्नलन्तं मुहुर्मुहुः । अपोवाह रथेनाजौ सारथि: शत्रुतापनम्,महाराज! इसी प्रकार बारंबार विह्नल होते हुए शत्रुतापन पाण्डुपुत्र भीमसेनको भी रथद्वारा उनका सारथि विशोक युद्धस्थलसे अन्यत्र हटा ले गया
tathaiva pāṇḍavaṃ rājan vihvalantaṃ muhur muhuḥ | apovāha rathenājau sārathiḥ śatrutāpanam ||
Sañjaya said: In the same way, O King, when the Pāṇḍava—Bhīmasena, the scorcher of foes—was repeatedly becoming dazed on the battlefield, his charioteer drew him away from the fight by means of the chariot.
संजय उवाच
Even in war, practical judgment and protective duty matter: a charioteer must preserve the warrior’s life and fighting capacity, withdrawing him when he is repeatedly overwhelmed, rather than letting pride lead to needless destruction.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīma, repeatedly becoming disoriented in the fight, is taken away from the immediate combat zone by his charioteer in the chariot, mirroring a similar withdrawal described just before.
