Sañjaya said: “By the power of this weapon, may the fever of anxiety in your mind subside. Your son, strengthened by this missile’s potency, will be ever hard to assail on the battlefield for his enemies; therefore your inner worry should be laid to rest.”

Even amid war, counsel aims to steady the mind: fear and grief are treated as a ‘fever’ to be dispelled through clear assessment of strength and circumstance, restoring composure and resolve.
Sañjaya reassures the listener that, due to the potency of a particular weapon, the listener’s son will be difficult for enemies to overcome in battle, and thus the listener’s mental anxiety should subside.
