Droṇa-parva 55
भूय एव तु मां तथ्यैर्वचोभिरभिबृंहय । राजर्षीणां पुराणानां समाश्वासय कर्मभि:,अतः आप पुनः उन प्राचीन राजर्षियोंके सत्कर्मोंका बोध करानेवाले अपने यथार्थ वचनोंद्वारा मेरा सौभाग्य बढ़ाइये और मुझे आश्वासन दीजिये
bhūya eva tu māṃ tathya-vacobhir abhibṛṃhaya | rājarṣīṇāṃ purāṇānāṃ samāśvāsaya karmabhiḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Once again, strengthen me with words that are true and well-grounded. Reassure me by recalling the deeds of the ancient royal sages—those venerable exemplars whose righteous actions can steady the mind in this time of trial.”
युधिछिर उवाच
In moments of moral strain, one should seek strengthening through truthful counsel and through remembrance of exemplary predecessors—ancient royal sages whose righteous deeds provide ethical orientation and inner reassurance.
Yudhiṣṭhira, burdened by the pressures and consequences of the war, asks the interlocutor to encourage him again with truthful words and to console him by citing the actions of ancient rājarṣis as precedents that restore confidence in dharma.
