अभिमन्योर् दारुणः संमर्दः

स विस्फार्य महच्चापं किरजन्निषुगणान्‌ बहून्‌ । तत्‌ खण्डं पूरयामास यद्‌ व्यदारयदार्जुनि:

Transliteration

sa visphārya mahācāpaṃ kirajann iṣugaṇān bahūn | tat khaṇḍaṃ pūrayāmāsa yad vyadārayad arjuniḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Having fully drawn his great bow and showering many clusters of arrows, he filled that very gap which Arjuna had torn open—pressing the attack so that the breach would not stand and the battle-order would not falter.
