द्रोणमभ्यद्रवन्‌ राजन्‌ महावेगपराक्रमम्‌ । राजन! सारथि सुमित्रद्वारा द्रोणाचार्यकी सेनाकी ओर हाँके हुए वे घोड़े महान्‌ वेगशाली और पराक्रमी द्रोणकी ओर दौड़े

Transliteration

droṇam abhyadravan rājan mahāvega-parākramam |

Translation

Sañjaya said: O King, they charged straight toward Droṇa—who was marked by tremendous speed and heroic might—driving their horses forward into the face of Droṇācārya’s forces. The verse underscores the relentless momentum of battle, where resolve and command propel warriors toward a formidable teacher-commander, even amid the moral weight of fighting revered elders.
