अब्रवीत् पुण्डरीकाक्षो धनंजयमिदं वच: । पश्य भीम॑ महाबाहं राक्षसेन्द्रवर्शं गतम्
sañjaya uvāca | abravīt puṇḍarīkākṣo dhanañjayam idaṃ vacaḥ | paśya bhīmaṃ mahābāho rākṣasendravarṣaṃ gatam ||
Sañjaya said: Then the lotus-eyed one addressed Dhananjaya: “O mighty-armed, look upon Bhīma—he has advanced into the very downpour of the lord of the Rākṣasas.” The words lay bare the war’s moral strain: valor must be joined to vigilance, for even righteous wrath can draw a warrior into peril before a formidable, unearthly foe.
