Aśvatthāmā’s Lamentation, Vow of Retaliation, and the Manifestation of the Nārāyaṇāstra
te yūyaṃ sahitāḥ sarve bhṛśaṃ yattā mahārathāḥ | droṇaṃ rakṣata pāñcālāddhṛṣṭadyumnān mahārathāt ||
Sañjaya said: “Therefore, all of you—great chariot-warriors—stand united and exert yourselves with utmost effort. Protect Droṇācārya from the Pāñcāla hero, the mighty Dhṛṣṭadyumna.”

In a crisis, dharma within one’s role (svadharma) is expressed as disciplined, united effort: the warriors are urged to act collectively and decisively to protect their commander, showing loyalty and responsibility amid the moral strain of war.
Sañjaya reports an urgent instruction to the Kaurava mahārathas: they must unite and vigorously guard Droṇa, who is threatened by Dhṛṣṭadyumna of the Pāñcālas—an enemy champion particularly intent on confronting Droṇa.
