Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation
kṛpa uvāca | manoratha-pralāpā me na grāhyās tava sūtaja | karṇa tvaṃ satataṃ kṛṣṇam arjunaṃ ca yudhiṣṭhiram | ākṣipasy eva saṃgrāme jayo 'syaiva tu pakṣataḥ | yatra kṛṣṇo 'rjunaś caiva yuddha-viśāradau sthitau ||
Kripa said: “O son of a charioteer, your boastful outpourings and imagined schemes are not credible to me. Karna, you constantly cast aspersions on Krishna, on Arjuna, and on Yudhishthira; yet victory in battle will belong to that very side where the war-wise Krishna and Arjuna stand.”
Empty bravado and hostile speech do not decide outcomes; discernment recognizes that strength aligned with dharma and right leadership—here symbolized by Krishna with Arjuna—determines victory.
After Karna’s loud claims about defeating the Pandavas and granting Duryodhana an unchallenged kingdom, Kripa rebukes him, dismissing the boasts as unreliable and asserting that the side with Krishna and Arjuna will prevail.
