Droṇa Encircled at Night: Coalition Advance and Battlefield Omens (द्रोणपर्यावरणं रात्रियुद्धवर्णनम्)
न च मे गमने कृत्यं तादृक् पार्षत विद्यते
na ca me gamane kṛtyaṃ tādṛk pārṣata vidyate
And, O son of Pṛṣata (Dhṛṣṭadyumna), I have no such pressing duty that would require me to depart.

The verse emphasizes steadfastness in one’s appointed duty: in a moment of conflict, abandoning one’s role requires a compelling ethical necessity, and without such necessity, departure is improper.
A speaker addresses Dhṛṣṭadyumna as “Pārṣata,” stating that there is no urgent obligation that warrants leaving—signaling determination to remain engaged in the ongoing battle situation.
