Educational Q&A

Even in violent circumstances, dharma is upheld through disciplined roles: a rightful leader’s directive (Dharmarāja) and a subordinate’s skilled, prompt execution (the charioteer). Competence and obedience become ethical supports for larger righteous aims.

Sañjaya reports that, on hearing Dharmarāja’s instruction, the expert charioteer brings a gold-ornamented chariot close to Bhīmasena, positioning him for the next action in the battle sequence.
