Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the inexorable momentum of war: once armies commit to violence with unwavering resolve, direct clashes become unavoidable. It implicitly invites reflection on the ethical burden of persistence in conflict, even when framed as martial duty.

A warrior, supported by a large contingent of unretreating Mleccha fighters, advances into the battle and reaches Yuyudhāna (Sātyaki), initiating an intense engagement with him.
