द्रोणस्य रथपर्यन्तं रथिनो रथमास्थिता: । कम्पयन्तो<भ्यवर्तन्त वेगमास्थाय मध्यमम्,वे पांचाल रथी रथपर बैठकर मध्यम वेगका आश्रय ले पृथ्वीको कँपाते हुए टद्रोणाचार्यके रथके अत्यन्त निकट जाकर उनका सामना करने लगे
droṇasya rathaparyantaṃ rathino rathamāsthitāḥ | kampayanto 'bhyavartanta vegamāsthāya madhyamam ||
Sañjaya said: The chariot-warriors, mounted on their cars, advanced to the very edge of Droṇa’s chariot. Moving at a measured, middle pace, they pressed on with such force that the earth seemed to tremble, closing in to confront Droṇācārya at close quarters.
