Educational Q&A

The verse highlights kṣatriya-ethos in wartime: decisive advance, courage, and skilled use of weapons. Ethically, it reflects how duty and valor are praised in the epic even amid the destructive inevitability of battle.

Bṛhatkṣatra, a leading warrior of the Kekayas, rushes at his target (contextually Droṇa) and releases a volley of razor-sharp arrows likened to Indra’s thunderbolt, intensifying the combat described by Sañjaya.
