Sañjaya said: “Like two radiant suns, they seemed to have slipped free from the hands of Droṇa—terrible as a venomous serpent—and from the blazing fire of the other kings. Seeing Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna there, shining with such splendor, all your soldiers raised a tumult on every side.”

The verse highlights how moral and spiritual force, embodied in the Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna alliance, can overturn even overwhelming martial pressure: their radiance becomes a sign of resilience and righteous resolve, affecting the enemy’s morale as much as weapons do.
In the thick of battle, Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna appear after escaping intense danger posed by Droṇa and other kings. Their brilliance is compared to two suns, and the Kaurava troops react with loud commotion, astonished and alarmed at their survival and splendor.
