Vaiśampāyana said: Seeing King Dhṛtarāṣṭra fallen down and unconscious, the attendant women sprinkled him with exceedingly cool water and fanned him with a fragrant, auspicious-scented fan, striving to restore his senses.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
In the midst of catastrophic news and war-driven suffering, immediate dharma can take the form of compassionate care—restoring and protecting life and dignity when someone collapses under grief or shock.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra has fallen unconscious; his female attendants attempt to revive him by sprinkling very cool water and fanning him with a pleasant, auspicious fragrance.
