तस्मिंस्तथा वर्तमाने संग्रामे लोमहर्षणे । धार्तराष्ट्र महत्‌ सैन्यं प्रायशो विमुखीकृतम्‌

Transliteration

tasmiṁs tathā vartamāne saṅgrāme lomaharṣaṇe | dhārtarāṣṭra mahat sainyaṁ prāyaśo vimukhīkṛtam ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: As that battle—so dreadful as to make the hair stand on end—unfolded in this manner, the great army of the Dhārtarāṣṭras was for the most part driven back and turned away from the fight.
