भीष्मस्य जलप्रार्थना — अर्जुनस्य पर्जन्यास्त्रप्रयोगः — दुर्योधनं प्रति सन्ध्युपदेशः

चित्रसेनो विकर्णश्षु भगदत्तक्ष मारिष | दशभिर्दशभिर्बाणैरभीमसेनमताडयन्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

citraseno vikarṇaś ca bhagadattaś ca māriṣa |

daśabhir daśabhir bāṇair abhīmasenam atāḍayan ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: O revered king, Chitrasena, Vikarna, and Bhagadatta each struck Bhīmasena with volleys of ten arrows. In the thick of battle, their coordinated assault shows how warriors seek to check a formidable opponent through disciplined, collective force rather than solitary bravado.
